CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Using all of the data and input collected to date, the Study Team is developing a series of conceptual improvements that will be grouped according to their complexity and ODOT's and AMATS' ability to program the necessary funding.

Short Term Conceptual Improvements
Short term conceptual improvements are those that are uncomplicated and cost effective and thus can be implemented over a period from zero to five (0-5) years. Examples of short term concepts include but are not limited to spot resurfacing, drainage repairs or simple signal modifications.

Intermediate Term Conceptual Improvements
Intermediate term concepts generally may require five to ten (5-10) years to implement due to complexity or cost considerations. Examples might include: extensive widening or resurfacing projects with drainage system installation/upgrades; installation of coordinated traffic signal systems; and system-wide signing upgrades.

Long Term Conceptual Improvements
Long term concepts are those with complex and costly scopes of work that will require more than ten (10) years to fund, design and build. Examples of long term concepts include: Interchange reconfiguration; construction of new roadway segments; and extensive bridge replacement or rehabilitation.

Check back with this page periodically as concepts will be displayed as they are developed for public review and input.
